A selection of the press coverage and published work touching the cases this practice has handled — from copyright-troll litigation to a winning appeal for a Merchant Mariner.
Call 904-383-7448Graham W. Syfert has been fortunate to work on some remarkable cases, several of which reached the media for various reasons. One hard-fought matter that never became a news article, but might well have, is the case of Simone Joyce Solomon. The Coast Guard had suspended her Merchant Mariner credentials. After a two-day trial, an appeal to the Coast Guard Commandant, and an appeal to the NTSB, she was successful, and the urinalysis case was resolved in her favor. The winning decision is published here: United States and U.S. Coast Guard v. Solomon.
Much of the press below grew out of the mass BitTorrent copyright litigation and the Prenda Law matter, where Mr. Syfert was among the first to point the finger at the firm's own conduct.
